About Chanelle A. Watson

Born and raised in New York, Chanelle A. Watson has always been a “go-getter”. Graduating from the University of New Haven with a double bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, as well as a Paralegal Certificate she planned to be a lawyer or police officer. When she realized her true passion and gift was for “feeding” people through their stomachs and minds & souls her direction changed.

Chanelle opened Chanelle’s Heavenly Treasures in 2010, a dessert and catering business. Though Chanelle started Chanelle’s Heavenly Treasures, she has been writing from a very young age and writing a book has always been in the back of her mind but the timing was never right until April 1, 2014 when she published her first book. Through life’s setbacks, comebacks, and all that is in between, Chanelle realized that it was time to stop hiding from what she had experienced and finally time to share her journey.

Chanelle’s first published book  From My Heart to Your Soul: A Collection of Poetry To Encourage, Inspire, and Awaken YOUR Spirit was written to reflect Chanelle A. Watson’s life journey and the different places she has been and things she has witnessed. Each poem was written as a story with the hopes of tapping into emotion and revealing situations society has tried to hide. Her goal for every reader of “From My Heart To Your Soul” is to relate to the poems, regardless of gender.

“I want everyone to be INSPIRED to follow their dreams, then to pay it forward, and encourage someone else to follow their own.”

Chanelle’s second published book, “Preparing for Your Husband: A Cookbook for EVERY Wife & “Wife In Training is the first volume in a two part series that taps into Chanelle’s passion and talent for cooking and baking with the hopes that everyone who encounters her cookbook (and future one’s to come) will be able to experience her passion and love for feeding those around her and create positive moments and memories with every recipe they use.

To date, Chanelle has published her first children’s book “Cupcake Girl and her Birthday Adventure” the first in its series. “Cupcake Girl” takes children and Cupcake Lovers on a journey with Cupcake Girl as she prepares for her upcoming birthday party. Children will learn comprehension, counting, and will experience word/phrase repetition, as they read this book packed with vibrant colors and images.

Chanelle is also a very active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Tarrytown, NY where she serves as Church Clerk and Worship Leader. In addition, Chanelle has founded  “Letters of Victory” (www.lettersofvictory.org), a non-profit organization spreading letters of encouragement throughout her local community and declaring the VICTORY through Jesus Christ and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
